For many years the Alliance has been hosting the largest property and casualty convention in the West, and this year is no exception. For the past year, the Alliance has listened carefully to broker-agents, and we think you are really going to like this year’s show. We’ve worked very hard to negotiate affordable room rates at the award winning JW Marriott Desert Resort & Spa, and we have one heck of a program put together.
The 2010 Alliance Convention & Expo will have cutting-edge technology solutions, sales and marketing strategies, high value continuing education courses, priceless networking opportunities, and entertainment that gives real meaning to the phrase “working vacation.” If you want to be a top producer or agency principal, it is essential that you develop professionally and invest in yourself. And you have no excuses, because we’ve packed so much value into this year’s convention, we needed a shoehorn to get our final, special guest speaker into the convention program—stay tuned.
This year’s convention will feature a panel of some of the most successful agency principals in the state, who are willing to share their secrets of success. The
Alliance asked marketing reps around the state to nominate one or two agency principals whose agencies are some of the best run in the state, and we have whittled this extensive list down to the very best run agencies in the state. What are these principals doing to grow their agencies? How do they market and sell? How do they compensate employees and outperform their competitors? What are the things that make these agencies the very best? These agency principals are a cut above the rest, and you’ll want to be at this year’s Alliance Convention & Expo to ask them questions and learn their secrets of success.
This year’s convention and expo will kick-off with a golf tournament on Thursday morning—sponsored by Mercury Insurance Group—and a luncheon to follow, with continuing education, marketing workshops and classes running throughout the day. Brand new and very popular at this year’s convention is the 1st Annual and professionally run
Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament—sponsored by Astonish Results—which will begin late Thursday afternoon with great prizes. Pre-registration is a must and do not delay as seating is limited. After the poker tournament is underway, the doors will open to host hospitality suites around the poker tournament, where attendees can socialize, mingle and network, while watching some of their friends play at the poker tables.
Friday morning there will be more continuing education courses, marketing workshops and classes from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. The tradeshow floor will be open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, so if you are looking for appointments, marketing ideas, technology solutions, or virtually any other product or service to help you better run your agency or make more money, you won’t want to miss the 150 exhibitors on this year’s tradeshow floor. Additionally, Progressive Insurance will be giving $5,000 away to a producer on the tradeshow floor Friday, but you must be present to win! Friday evening there will be hospitality suites from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, followed by a live ‘80s band and dance party until midnight.
Saturday, continuing education courses will begin at 8:00 AM and run throughout the day. The tradeshow floor opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM. The tradeshow floor will recess for our luncheon from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM. You won’t want to miss this sit-down lunch, where Progressive will be giving away another $5,000 to some lucky producer. And as mentioned above, if you want to learn the secrets of success used by the most successful agency owners, you won’t want to miss this special luncheon. At 7:30 PM, we will enjoy dinner under the stars and be entertained with fire dancing. After dinner, and back by popular demand, the Funky Hippeez ‘70s band will be packing the dance floor with their great music, so get those angel flights, knee-high boots and platform shoes, and get ready to groove.
