Alliance and MexiPass announce renewed partnership
La Verne, Calif., Sept. 20, 2006–The Alliance of Insurance Agents and Brokers joins MexiPass Global Assurance in announcing the renewal of the longstanding relationship between the two organizations.
The complementary groups’ relationship began in 1991 in an effort to create benefit to Alliance members, MexiPass brokers, and Alliance advocacy. About 80 percent of Alliance member agents and brokers are appointed to represent MexiPass, an MGA that carries Mexican insurance for Americans at U.S. standards, and nearly 60 percent are active.
“MexiPass is a first-class MGA with a prestigious product line, and the relationship with the Alliance is creative, powerful and energizing,” said Joe Jimenez, vice president of the Alliance. “It is the Alliance’s intention to further increase participation with this outstanding MGA at every level.”
“The Alliance is an association built on cooperation and partnership that benefits all, especially the members,” said Jorge Cacho-Sousa, CPCU, ARM, co-founder and president of MexiPass. “It recognizes and encourages the essence of what MexiPass is. The benefits of deepening the relationship were obvious.”
MexiPass was created in1987, when Jorge and Alfredo Cacho-Sousa realized the limitations for small and mid-sized agencies in accessing the international insurance market for their clients. They incorporated MexiPass International Insurance Services in California using the slogan, “Created to provide insurance the Mexican way.”
Providing international insurance and risk management services to all independent insurance producers in the United States, MexiPass teamed with the Alliance in 1991 for three-fold benefit. First, it opens a unique and trustworthy product line to Alliance members’ businesses to better protect their customers and themselves, particularly from errors and omissions lawsuits. Second, MexiPass enjoys increased exposure and a broader customer base by working with Alliance members. Third, when potential customers access MexiPass through the Alliance Web site, a portion of the profits of the resulting sale go toward Alliance advocacy programs.
“The Alliance looks forward to many more years partnering with MexiPass,” said Jimenez, “serving both our membership and supporting their business of providing the highest level of international insurance services.”
